Here at Grace Meadows Church, we strive to invest into the hearts and lives of our Next Generation by showing them the love of Jesus Christ and building personal relationships with our kids and students. Knowing our kids and students on a personal level is something that we value as a church. Showing our kids and students that we genuinely care for them allows us to build trust so that we can have the opportunity to achieve our ultimate goal of sharing The Gospel and Making Disciples of Jesus Christ. Nothing is more important to us than giving our Next Generation the opportunity to develop personal relationships with Jesus so that they can have a solid Biblical foundation to stand on before entering into their adult life. One of the tools that we use to help equip our Next Generation is the “Foundations” Curriculum. “Foundations” is a 260-day reading plan that highlights foundational passages of Scripture that every disciple of Jesus Christ should know. As we lead our Next Generation, we never want to replace the role of the parent/guardian. When it comes to shepherding their children, we want to come alongside each parent/guardian to help equip them in shepherding their families.
Babies to 5th grade
On Sunday mornings we offer childcare in both services for kids 4 years old and under. Kids 5 years old to 4th grade start out in the main service for worship. Once worship has ended, kids are dismissed to their class in the top of the Little Barn for age-appropriate Bible lessons. We require all kids to be checked in via our check-in system which can be found in our Little Barn or in our fellowship area. Check-in starts ten minutes before each service.
Mid-Week (Wednesday Night)
On Wednesday nights all families are invited to come to our Mid-Week fellowship meal starting at 6:00PM. Starting at 7:00PM we begin the main service. Starting 10 minutes before the service we offer childcare for kids 4-years-old and under. Kids 5-years-old to 4th grade start out in the main service for a time of prayer and worship. Once prayer and worship has ended, kids are dismissed to their class in the top of the Little Barn for age-appropriate Bible lessons. We require all Kids ages Birth through 4th grade to be checked in via our check-in system which can be found in our Little Barn or in our Fellowship area.
6th - 12th grade
On Sunday mornings, GMC Student Ministry offers a 5th-8th grade class at our 10:30am service. For many kids, it can sometimes be challenging to transition from being with younger kids to being with older students. This class gives the student ministry leaders an opportunity to help bridge the gap between our kids ministry and student ministry. Our 9th-12th grade students stay in our main service. We believe that this is a great opportunity to begin to teach them the importance of gathering with our entire church family and to learn from our lead pastors on Sunday mornings.
Mid-Week (Wednesday Night)
On Wednesday nights,GMC Student Ministry consists of 6th-12th grade students. A typical Mid-Week for our GMC Students starts out with a fellowship meal with the entire church family at 6:00 PM. Starting at 7:00PM, our students start out in the main service for a time of prayer and worship. Once this time has ended, students are dismissed to the bottom of the Little Barn where they have their own teaching and fellowship time with other students. Our student teaching time is specifically geared towards students and is followed by an activity or game that helps our students grow together as a group.
